Botanical Facial Steam
What does a facial steam do?
Facial steaming helps to soften the skin and loosen debris within the pores. The heat increases circulation, making it easier to cleanse away impurities like dirt, oil, and dead skin cells. This process can enhance the absorption of skincare products and leave the skin feeling hydrated and refreshed.
Directions to prepare the facial steam:
1. Bring 4 cups of water to a boil in a pot.
2. Carefully pour the boiling water into a large, heat-safe bowl.
3. Add 3 tablespoons of the herbal facial steam blend to the hot water.
Steam Your Face:
1. Lean over the bowl, keeping a comfortable distance to avoid burns.
2. Drape a towel over your head and the bowl to create a tent, trapping the steam.
3. Steam your face for 5-10 minutes, allowing the steam to rise and the herbs to infuse.
Post-Steam Care:
1. Pat your face dry with a clean towel.
2. Follow up with your usual skincare routine, such as applying a face mask, serum, or moisturizer for the best results.
Notes:
- Always keep your face at a safe distance from the steam to prevent burns.
- If you have sensitive skin, start with a shorter steam time (around 5 minutes) to gauge your skin's reaction.
